Klydostudio

A system designed to manage the creation, review, and publication of cutting-edge animated content in a limited, business-oriented environment.

Background

Klydo Studio is a system developed by Klydo to support its flagship product, Klydoclock. Klydoclock is a smart physical, desk-based animated clock that displays circular loop animations created by artists worldwide in a unique, non-standard format. The product is powered by Klydo’s exclusive content library, which includes both free daily content and premium collections. As the product increasingly relies on a continuous stream of creator-made content, the need emerged for a dedicated platform to manage content creation, quality control, and long-term consistency. Klydo Studio was designed to fulfill this role.

Main Goal

Streamlining and expanding the company's content creation process, the backbone of the business, by automating manual workflows.

Challenges

1. Designing for a Non-Standard Creative Medium

The interface had to support loop animations constrained by a fixed circular format, unlike a traditional flexible screen.
Layouts were structured around strict spatial boundaries to ensure clarity within this physical limitation.

2. Scaling a Clear Approval Workflow

The approval process required structured, recurring states that could scale without disorienting users. Screens were intentionally designed with consistent layouts, allowing only the status and relevant actions to change.

3. Connecting Two Dependent Workflows

Klydo creation and collection building were designed as separate flows, yet collections depend entirely on approved content.
Approval is the point where decisions are made. Only after content is approved can creators choose how to use and organize it. This keeps creation simple at first, and allows large amounts of approved content to be easily managed when building collections.

Impact

Klydo Studio functions as the core system powering the Klydo ecosystem — enabling continuous content growth, structured review, and scalable distribution. By centralizing creation, approval, and organization into a single platform, the system supports new content pipelines while maintaining quality, clarity, and long-term operational scale across the product.
